My name is Migs, I have completed the Electrical and Computer Engineering program at the University of Illinois at Urabana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree. My background is actually in music and entertainment. I obtained an Associate of Science in Recording Engineering in 2003 and have worked with record labels, theater companies, local artists, and audio-visual companies throughout Chicago up until 2016.
The experiences I've gained working on many projects with various kinds of equipment piqued my interest in learning more about the electronics within. So, I decided to go back to school for Electrical Engineering. I am still a musician and recording engineer at heart, but now I am looking to further the technology used by artists and electronics enthusiasts.
My interests in the field lie with circuit design and signal processing. I enjoy putting together schematics and working on PCB layouts as well as designing filters and pitch detection algorithms. I am also interested in exploring the realm of FPGA technology by way of future projects. I look forward to learning more about these technologies either on the field or through my own personal research.
Feel free to take a look at some of the projects that I have been working on since I started on my new engineering path.
